A .284 bore (7mm) match-grade barrel blank from Benchmark Barrels of Arlington, Washington, configured to your exact spec. Every Benchmark blank is double hand lapped to a consistent bore and double stress relieved, and has a long record in PRS, NRL and benchrest competition.
Common chamberings: 7mm PRC, 7 SAUM, 7mm Rem Mag, 7mm-08, 280 AI.
Build your blank:
1. Rifling and Twist - button or cut rifled, in 1:8, 1:8.5, 1:9 twist. Pick the twist your bullet maker recommends for the heaviest bullet you plan to shoot.
2. Contour - #3 Sporter, #4, #5, #6, Remington Varmint, Remington Sendero, MTU, VCC, .900 in straight, 1.250 in straight, oversized 1.350 / 1.500 / 1.750 in straight, Custom Contour, or Carbon Fiber Wrapped (16 to 27 in finish).
3. Length - finished length up to 28 in, or over 28 in. For over 28 in, also add the Benchmark Custom Contour and Extra Length item (Extra Length) with quantity set to the number of inches beyond 28 in, and note your exact finished length at checkout.
Fluting: add the Benchmark Barrel Fluting item to the same order (6 straight, 8 straight, spiral, diamond or interrupted). Stainless blanks only.
Custom contour: select Custom Contour above, add the Custom Contour option from the Benchmark Custom Contour and Extra Length item, then reply to your order confirmation with your contour drawing (shank diameter and length, taper points, muzzle diameter, finished length). We confirm it with Benchmark before production.
Each blank is built to order by Benchmark to the specification you select. After you order, we confirm your spec and send the current lead time. Because every blank is made to your spec, orders can't be cancelled or returned once released to production.
Supplied as: an unchambered, unthreaded, uncrowned blank. It must be chambered, threaded, crowned and fitted by a qualified gunsmith.
